Candle Care & Safety
Candle Care
Trim wick to 1/8 to 3/16 inch. Wick should be trimmed prior to each use. This helps candle achieve an even burn and prevents soot.
Â
Upon very first burn allow wax to melt all the way to the edge of vessel to create a full melt pool. This prevents candle from tunnelling. This can take approximately 2-4 hours.
Â
Do not burn more than 4 hours at a time. Burning for longer periods can cause soot and an unsteady flame.
Â
Best way to extinguish candle is by using a snuffer. Another way to put out candle flame is by using the vessel lid and placing it on top of candle when ready to extinguish.
Â
Keep wax free of any candle trimmings and debris. On a cooled candle, gently wipe sides of vessel and top of candle wax if soot appears. Keep wick trimmed.
Â
Store candle in a cool dry area. Do not place candle where it will be exposed to direct sunlight, extreme heat or extreme indoor lighting.
Â
 Candle Safety
Stop the use of candle once ½ inch of wax remains at bottom of vessel. Stop the use of candle if wick clip becomes exposed.
Â
Burn candle within sight at all times.
Â
Burn candle on level heat resistant surface away from drafts and away from items that can catch fire.
Â
Do not touch candle while it is lit. Allow wax to cool and harden before moving.
Â
Keep candle out of reach of children and pets.
